Title: .NET Developer (Data-oriented)Location: United States-Pennsylvania-WayneJob Number: 1703293Hartford Funds is seeking a data-savvy .Net Developer with a versatile skill set who will be responsible for building small data focused applications. The applications will range from automation scripts to small desktop and web applications. This role is part of a data team that manages a data warehouse. The developer will be responsible for building utilities, tools and applications that help in the monitoring, maintenance and management of the data warehouse environment. Responsibilities of the role: • Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify opportunities for IT solutions to improve processes • Elicit application requirements from IT and Business users • Design and build web and desktop applications and utilities • Assist QA team in the development of test strategy and test execution • Ability work with offshore development team when applicable Qualifications: • 3 - 5 years’ hands-on experience in designing, developing and supporting applications deployed in an enterprise environment • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or another computer-based discipline or equivalent experience • Must possess the following technical skills: - Understanding of relational database concepts and ER diagrams - Experience in core .NET technologies and frameworks. o C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET - SQL Language - Knowledge of SOA Architecture, WCF & REST - Working knowledge of SQL Server (2008 ) - HTML and web application design - Experience working with XML/XSLT • Must possess the ability to develop web applications for exposing and managing data • Must be able to develop data-focused .Net applications that import/export data to/from relational databases, XML, etc. Preferred Skills and Experience: • Knowledge of job schedulers and experience in developing batch and real time integrations (Flat Files, EDI, XML) is a plus • Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL tools • Prior experience with Data Warehousing Concepts • Experience with writing technical documentation WHY JOIN HARTFORD FUNDS?
