Small Commercial IT is responsible for building and maintaining systems that allow Operations to quote, issue and service commercial insurance policies. We work closely with our business partners to design systems that meet their needs and then build and deliver via project methodologies like Agile/Scrum and Waterfall. We monitor expenses closely to ensure efficient delivery as per financial commitments and project budgets.


  • Extract financial data related to Small Commercial (SC) Info Technology Invest portfolio and update data for monthly leadership reports

  • Work with finance department to resolve anomalies in financial data

  • Support leadership in compiling information for monthly reports and presentations

  • Monitor project financials and work with Project Managers as necessary

  • Analyze and provide insight into monthly cost variances

  • Stretch Goal: Create and implement a ROM (Rough order of magnitude) calculator for future project estimating



  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree; Target Majors: Business, Finance, Accounting.

  • Preferred minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrated leadership potential through extra-curricular activities

  • Must have a record of high achievement, self-motivation, ability to multi-task and a solid work ethic

  • Ability to analyze complex problems and to make sound recommendations in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong Microsoft product skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
