Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact within The Hartford on everything Cloud (services, statistics, etc.)

  • Accountable for designing and implementing The Hartford’s hybrid cloud governance framework and playbook

  • Partners with infrastructure architecture to provide technical guidance on designing and building secure systems for various hybrid cloud environments in partnership with architecture teams

  • Owns the playbook and actual cloud onboarding for cloud initiatives

  • Liaison between the Infrastructure and CIO organizations for cloud initiatives

  • Governs all cloud engagements and its compliance with the Cloud Reference Architecture

  • Manages the Cloud Provider relationships and is the primary contact for providers

  • Partners with service owners on demand for cloud offerings / capabilities, operationalization and end-to-end integration/automation

  • Enables the continuous feedback and improvement loop across applications, stakeholders and providers

  • Accountable for evaluating cloud related risk partnership with key stakeholder organizations (Security, Risk, Audit); Partners with the security organization on any impacts to The Hartford’s risk posture or security policies

  • Evaluates macro cloud trends in the market relative to The Hartford’s cloud strategy; Provides input on roadmap considerations

  • Partners with the learning team on cloud training opportunities for the Enterprise

  • Ensures knowledge and awareness of cloud services and capabilities across the enterprise

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • 10 years of IT industry experience

  • 5 years of cloud experience

  • Broad technology background from digital workspaces to applications/data to platforms to infrastructure with sufficient depth in implementation and operationalization

  • Creative, forward-looking, strategic and an integrator

  • Experience packaging and offering technology enablement capabilities to the enterprise

  • Experience architecting solutions on the cloud leveraging various platforms

  • Expert change agent needing to drive large-scale, high impact changes across the enterprise

  • Experience with assessment, development and implementation, operationalization and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of cloud technologies and processes

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solution Architect, Microsoft Azure Certified Architect) or possess relevant knowledge and work experience with Cloud Providers (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, Oracle)

  • Progressive experience on information security and cloud infrastructure i.e., private, hybrid, and public clouds

  • Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions.

  • Highly collaborative; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to effectively translate a strategy or high level objective to an execution roadmap

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction; self-starter/self-motivated

Nice to have:

  • Expert in designing cloud computing based solutions

  • Information Security certifications (CISSP, CISA etc.)

  • Working knowledge of ITIL, DevOps and Agile methodologies

  • Experience with acquisition integration preferred

  • Prior knowledge and preferably experience working with cloud security and governance tools.
