Catastrophe Claims Operation (CCO) is located in Aurora, IL

The ACR position is a fast-paced, team-oriented role that provides the opportunity for rapid advancement within the Claim Organization. The ideal candidate is someone who has outstanding communication skills and a desire to work in a field where you can make a dramatic impact on the lives of our customers during their greatest time of need.

Responsibilities include:

  • Handle a high volume of personal lines claims which include the investigation, adjudication and file management as well as assisting other claim professionals and our policy holders with multiple facets of the claims process.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, build credibility and gain trust while operating with integrity at all times.

  • Serve as “the face of The Hartford” as we deliver on the insurance promise and make a difference in our customers’ lives.

  • Achieve targeted performance goals to manage costs and support The Hartford’s industry-leading operational claims standards.

  • Required to work extended operational hours, including weekends and holidays, when warranted by business conditions. Core business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

  • Obtain the required property and casualty licensing. The licensing portion is conducted during the first two weeks of paid training.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and persuasively communicate to a variety of customers.

  • Effective ability to manage a high volume of claims in a fast-paced environment using dual monitors and multiple programs

  • Strong organization / time management / conflict resolution skills.

  • Comfort in making decisions after seeking out information (if you are looking for a processing type role, the ACR job is not for you).

  • Desire to advance your career and the willingness to do what it takes to achieve your goals. Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred

  • Have availability for a May 7th training date and no absences during several weeks of training
