As an Annuity Service specialist, you will provide financial product expertise about The Hartford’s annuity contracts to customers and brokers. This position supports The Hartford’s Talcott Resolution business. You’ll do this through inbound calls only, which means there’s no cold calling required. The Hartford will provide you with five weeks of paid training, as well as ongoing coaching and development to ensure your success.

Location: 500 Bielenberg Drive, Woodbury, MN 55125
Start Date: February 27, 2017
Training Hours (CST): Monday – Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Post Training Hours (CST): Monday – Thursday 9:30am to 6:00pm,

Friday hours rotate between 7:30am to 4:00pm and 8:30 am to 5:00 pm


  • Manage an average of 50 to 80 customer calls per day with a high degree of professionalism and the desire to succeed.
  • Utilize active listening and critical thinking skills to quickly analyze and clearly understand a specific request or customer need, and then leverage the knowledge and resources to provide the appropriate solutions.
  • Take ownership to ensure that we go above and beyond to service each caller's needs, using every touch point as an opportunity to build value and The Hartford brand.
  • Commit to learning and development, including a better understanding of The Hartford’s annuities products.
  • Adhere to The Hartford's employment policies and procedures, including attendance and professionalism in the workplace.

At The Hartford, our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay competitive base salaries and reward performance. The salary for this position is approximately $36,000 per year ($17.31 per hour) plus the opportunity to participate in our performance based incentive program. The Career Progression Milestone program provides the opportunity to earn up to an additional $2,000 to your base salary within the first 12 months of employment.

  • You have a minimum education of a high school diploma.
  • You possess strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • You have excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – to develop and enhance strong impactful customer relationships.
  • You possess strong computer skills with an ability to navigate through multiple systems in a Windows-based environment
  • You’re comfortable working in a structured environment in which quality monitoring and feedback from your manager occurs regularly.
