Role is for a Tech Lead working on Invest projects ranging from medium to high complexity. Development work would be around the implementation of a new business processing system and risk evaluation system for Commercial business. The applications are based on latest web technologies.

General Skills and Competencies required for the role include:

  • Working experience in a Technical Lead role.
  • Oversee technical deliverables through the software development life cycle, including validating the completeness of estimates, quality and accuracy of technical designs, build and implementation
  • Provide technical leadership by enforcing the vision of the application architecture
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple high priority items in a fast paced environment a must.
  • Lead change by influencing and educating Business, IT and Sourcing partners.
  • Mentor and train project team members (including Sourcing Partners) to enforce development guidelines and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly get up to speed on any new concepts or technologies
  • Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact project schedule and/or budget
  • Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organization skills required.
  • Proven documentation skills and ability to consistently provide high quality documentation related to analysis, process, risks and issue statuses.

  • Eight or more years of experience developing web based Java/J2EE applications.
  • Advanced leadership, communication and consultative skills

Hands-on experience, working knowledge and strong technical skills in the following technologies:

  • Java/JEE.
  • Spring, JSF and Primefaces.
  • XML.
  • Design Patterns, Object Oriented design and methodologies.
  • XSLT.
  • JavaScript, AJAX, CSS. Prototype and Scriptaculous knowledge is a plus.
  • Source Code version tools such as Subversion.
  • SOAP Web Services.
  • Unit testing tools such as JUnit.
  • SQL, Oracle.
  • Weblogic.
  • Eclipse IDE.
  • Having knowledge on ACORD is an added advantage.
