Enrollment Manager Role & Responsibilities

The Enrollment Manager is responsible for the execution of enrollment strategies at a case level to drive enrollment results and meet targeted premium and participation goals. The Enrollment Manager will be engaged at time of sold case or re-enrollment to be a single point of contact and expert for all enrollment related activities. The Enrollment Manager will be accountable for the timing and accuracy of all Voluntary services that are utilized as they manage the end to end process. The Enrollment Manager will partner with Sales, Service, Product and Operations roles as well as the Broker and Customer. The Enrollment Manager will be involved in post-enrollment activities such as collecting results, running reports, debriefing internal and external partners and confirming billing accuracy.


  • Partners with various internal Hartford roles to execute a custom enrollment strategy
  • Creates and manages timeline of enrollment and marketing activities with frequent checkpoints internally and externally with the customer
  • Engage the Enrollment Fulfillment Specialist to initiate preferred enrollment materials/services and marketing materials
  • Engage Consumer Operations/Enrollment Services to initiate custom enrollment materials and services
  • Engage the Marketing Team for creation of custom marketing campaigns
  • Manages the timeline for the creation of the BenSelect platform
  • Accountability to ensure all deliverables are correct and completed by target dates
  • Coordinates the deployment of onsite enrollment resources
  • Monitors active enrollments to proactively ensure optimal results; if negative results are observed, assess the situation, engage appropriate resources and adjust the enrollment strategy, as necessary
  • Collects all enrollment data to deliver preliminary and final enrollment results to the customer
  • Conducts a post-enrollment debrief with appropriate parties
  • Confirms all Salesforce data has been completed for each enrollment
  • Ensures all data feeds, medical underwriting reports and any additional reports requested are provided
  • Coordinates the eligibility file feeds with IT
  • Provides support to Implementation Team until the 2nd bill is produced

    • Leverage internal partners as Subject Matter Experts to correctly plan and manage an enrollment

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 5-7 years Industry Experience
  • Knowledge of Group Voluntary Benefits and Enrollment
  • Group Sales and/or Service experience
  • Current Life & Health License
  • Group Benefits Disability Specialist Designation (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Completion of Voluntary Certification Program (pass within 90 days of hire)
  • High technical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail
