Overview:

The Sales Director, Personal Lines Operations will report to the VP, Consumer, Direct Sales, and will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sales and operational management of “work at home” Contact Center Sales Teams. The Director will manage a staff of 8-12 front line managers, total organization of 100 employees.
  • Will lead the transformation of the new hire training program end to end; to include recruiting, testing, onboarding and speed to proficiency.

  • Set goals and motivate a remote workforce to exceed targets.

  • Requires the execution of results-focused initiatives that contribute to exceeding customer expectations, financial quality, work processes/production, productivity and employee satisfaction.

  • Responsible for sales, operations and expense management within their teams.

  • Directly responsible for the achievement of sales performance results through the sustainment of The Hartford Way mechanisms and behaviors.

  • Responsible for new business acquisition, setting expectations appropriately to support customer retention and consistent execution of business processes.

  • Lead or support projects initiated by Sales Operations.

  • Accountable for achieving performance standards by setting the agenda, selling the vision and building a high performing team through The Hartford Way.

Qualifications:

Candidate Profile

  • B.A. or B.S. required.
  • Minimum six years plus of experience in people and sales leadership required; work experience in a contact center preferred; personal lines insurance experience preferred.

  • Engage and inspire a remote workforce.

  • Experience managing diverse functional work teams.

  • Track record of leadership; ability to drive change across an organization.

  • Willing to work a 10:00 am to 7:00 pm schedule.

  • Demonstrates strategic thinking.

  • Ability to build and manage high performance teams with the desire to coach and mentor others.

  • Strong business acumen; demonstrates sound business judgment and decision making.
