Marketing Manager, Group Benefits Marketing

This position will primarily provide direct support for the Small Business segment of the Group Benefits business, but also support other strategic marketing initiatives. The marketing manager will be responsible for supporting P&L owners and the field in the development and execution of strategic Marketing campaigns. These responsibilities require close partnership with sales, compliance, creative services, e-Business and other business partners.

  • Counsel on most appropriate communications strategies to achieve business objectives. Ensure consistent marketing and communications programs by leveraging all available marketing tools and mediums/technologies and make recommendations for new and innovative tools
  • Leverage existing resources and best practices through all Employer Market businesses and Small Commercial Marketing where appropriate
  • Develop customer facing sales programs/campaigns as well as marketing materials aligned with GB value proposition including external emails, content marketing, print collateral, presentations, etc., to promote business' value proposition, products and services
  • Provide project management leadership to develop, create, and execute marketing initiatives and campaigns on tight timelines
  • Incorporate, solidify and leverage the corporate brand image in all communications
  • Work with clients to project future needs and develop messages to engage broker audience as well as insurance decision makers
  • Provide senior leadership with regular program status updates and results
  • Active management of multiple timelines, vendors and budgets associated with various initiatives
  • Establish and evaluate metrics and performance benchmarks for marketing communications programs
  • Assist in voice of the customer activities and the broader Marketing organization with project work and sales support, such as RFP and Finalist messaging


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of Marketing or relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, such as communications, advertising, PR, social media, journalism, e-business
  • Ability to devise and execute on strategic enrollment communication plans for various sizes and types of employer clients
  • Proven excellent writing and editing ability.
  • Technologically savvy Team player who can work effectively with business partners and cross functional "matrix" teams.
  • Resourceful - knows how to make things happen.
  • A self-starter who takes the initiative to identify needs and then develops realistic and creative solutions.
  • Strong project management, priority management and organizational skills.
  • Can work independently, handles ambiguity well. Creative thinker.
