The Enterprise Applications organization is seeking a Manager/Application Owner for the Enterprise Content Management and Business Services team. The Manager will lead a team of technical leads and developers responsible for new enhancements, maintenance and production support across the portfolio of applications. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, have experience setting and executing strategic visions and an ability to work and collaborate across other teams.

In addition, candidates must have a willingness to understand existing processes and systems, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. They should be able to make decisions quickly in consultation with team members and subject matter experts, be able to build relationships and understand the dynamics and critical nature of the business.


  • Manage and supervise the development team.
  • Work closely with business partners, managers and project managers to deliver on business needs.
  • Ensure application availability, quality of service and seek opportunities to reduce incidents
  • Serves as a key business/technical expert for business partners leveraging current and emerging technologies where appropriate.
  • Engages in highly complex business initiatives requiring design or integration of technical solutions across the business.
  • Anticipates and resolves problems systematically. Provides assistance and guidance to peers and subordinates.
  • Influence/negotiate with business customers.
  • Educates business/technical partners and leaders in areas of expertise. Able to develop and communicate to business leaders compelling rationale for positions using expert business knowledge.
  • Collaborate across other technology and infrastructure teams to provide seamless solutions.
  • Participates in planning sessions for highly complex or critical business/technical issues.
  • Provides recommendations on business and systems options, risks, cost/benefit analysis, and impact on cross-functional business goals and processes.
  • Anticipates customer needs and ensures that those needs are fully met through collaboration with the business areas.
  • Establishes and builds effective relationships with business customers and vendor partners.
  • Participates or consults in business planning sessions to improve business processes.
    Provides ongoing/proactive performance feedback and prepares, delivers, and authorizes interim and annual performance review.
  • Develops staff through ongoing coaching and feedback, rewarding results, providing meaningful development plans, and invoking progressive discipline process when necessary.
  • Handles recruiting activities for staffing vacancies, hires and terminates staff. Handles compensation process according to departmental guidelines and objectives.
  • Budget forecasting and accountability, outside services, and procurement.
    Responsible for the overall deliverables of the team. Ensures direct reports deliver work product with highest quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Prioritizes and assigns work for team members. Ensures team members are appropriately trained and mentored to accomplish assigned work and leverage growth opportunities.



Qualified candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of management experience.
  • Candidate must possess strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to build relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership and influencing capabilities.
  • Customer focused.
  • Candidate must demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of information systems and activities.
  • Prior development experience a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Budget forecast management and auditing experience.
  • Creative and Innovative thinker.
  • Highly motivated & Results oriented.
  • Demonstrate crisis management capabilities, work well in ambiguous situations and adjust readily to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change.
  • Personal and Business Insurance acumen a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
