Title: Auto Subrogation Claim Handler - Level IILocation: United States-Illinois-ChicagoJob Number: 1702569The Hartford's Central Recovery Operations Team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as an Auto Subrogation Level II Handler.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION?
Successful incumbents are responsible for the following:
Responsible for the evaluation and negotiation of auto recoveries in a manner consistent with corporate claim policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.
Planning, recommending and advocating our subrogation position to other insurance carriers
Establish negotiation and disposition strategies in order to achieve appropriate and cost effective claim outcomes
Negotiate skillfully in challenging situations with other insurance carriers
Pursue auto recoveries against uninsured or underinsured motorists.
Maintain compliance with internal and external reporting requirements
Aggressively achieve a fair and equitable disposition
Demonstrate professionalism and establish credibility when explaining the subrogation process to our customers
Accurately assess collectible damages
Preparing files for arbitration & litigation
Operating within a team environment in order to maximize the team’s overall recovery results Qualifications: WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Qualified candidates will have the following requirements:
College degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
Auto Physical Damage and claim handling experience required.
Basic understanding of auto adjusting principles required.
Strong negotiation and investigative skills.
Must have the ability to perform in a high volume work environment and a proven high level of performance and achievement.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, strong computer/automation skills and strong customer service skills.
Use critical thinking skills to gather information, apply sound reasoning, draw appropriate conclusions and make sound decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment
