Manage Professional and Management assigned case load within authority given. Effectively communicate with claimants, insured's, and attorney’s (both defense and plaintiff).

Maintain diary on all files to ensure cases are being handled accordingly and moving towards appropriate resolution.

Make initial contact with insured's and begin appropriate investigation within 24 hours of case assignment.

Approve all expense payments within 72 hrs of receipt.

Approve all loss payments and/or releases within 24 hrs of receipt.

Review reserves and make recommendations when necessary. Reserves should be evaluated every time the file is reviewed.

Handle assigned claims/claim files through disposition.

Assist finance with deductible recoveries and claim data integrity

Ability to monitor trends and suggest changes where necessary (both in the claims environment and with the IT systems).

Ability to thoroughly investigate claims and bring them to a proper resolution (whether it’s a denial, to trial or settlement).

Develop and maintain strong business relationship with outside vendors and insureds. This allows resolution of any issue fairly and quickly.

Ability to identify, evaluate and solve problems in the assessment of a claim to bring it to the appropriate resolution.

Able to assist finance department in collection of deductibles with limited use of collection agencies.



Min of 5 years of Professional and Management Liability Claims experience

Four year college degree preferred or equivalent training.

Effective communication skills – oral, written and listening.

Ability to represent Company internally and externally.
